So with the recent announcement of sweetheart sessions this year, I thought I would write up a blog post about why booking one is a good idea. First and foremost, you can never have too many photos with the people you love, you just can’t and no one will ever convince me otherwise.
Second, (this point is directed at the parents) this an excellent opportunity to ditch the stress that can come with a family session. Family sessions are work for parents, specifically moms and they can sometimes leave you feeling a little frazzled. They don’t always leave room for romantic portraits with your lover because well hello, kids… BUT I really do feel like having your love story documented throughout the years is a really special gift to your marriage. It is a reminder of the love you share and it is a reminder that you two are still a couple and not just Mom and Dad.
Third, this is an excellent date night opportunity if you treat it as such. Have a glass of wine as you get ready for your session. Pack a cooler and listen to your favorites songs on the way to the session. Plan on a dinner after you’re done. A sweetheart session really is a great opportunity to take an evening to yourselves. Lastly, judging by all the comments on the Facebook/Instagram posts, this is something you actually, really want to do. One thing I know is that we should all make time for the things we really want to do and just do them…I honestly don’t think you will regret it.
AND if you are a man reading this by some chance, book a sweetheart session for your person…Save yourself from the stress of Valentine’s day disappointment and be on top of it this year. Your wife will really appreciate your thoughtfulness, and you’ll probably get something out of it later…..
Fill out a contact form to get in on this. I will be booking sessions the first two weekends in February weather permitting. (We will reschedule if it is too cold) They are $125 for a 25 minutes session and include 20 digital files.
