Miss Charlie & Mommy Emily {Bozeman, MT Family Photographer}

I definitely have a baby crush on little miss Charlie!  Her chubby cheeks are perfectly pinch-able,  her skin is so smooth and soft, and she makes the cutest little snorting noises.  Plus, she actually seems to like having her picture taken which is an added bonus!

I have been looking forward to this shoot since the first time I photographed Charlie when she was only a few days old.  (Click here to view Charlie's newborn session)  She was cute then, and I have to say she has only gotten cuter.  Plus, she is one seriously photogenic baby.  These were shot earlier today, and I couldn't wait to get home and get them posted.  We were lucky enough to have a nice enough day to do the shoot outside which I was thrilled about since I LOVE shooting babies outdoors.  Plus, we were able to take some of mommy Emily with her little bundle, and it was so heart warming to watch her with Charlie.  Charlie is a lucky little lady to have such an awesome and loving mother.

I love the above photo-such a cutie pie

You are one Hot Momma Emily!

The above photo is my favorite!

Gotta love a smiling baby!  So good to see you and your baby girl Emily.  I can't believe how big she has gotten.  I hope to see you girls soon.

Ok....So I have lots of great shoots and blog posts coming up.  I have been in Three Forks/Bozeman for the past few days, and I have a few more shoots lined up before I will head back to Miles City on Saturday afternoon.  The mini sessions on Sunday were a blast, and I should have a blog post ready later this week!  Tomorrow I will be at the Sacajawea Hotel to take some photos of their gorgeous rooms, and to photograph some delicious food from Pompey's Grill.  Thursday I have a family shoot at a Pumpkin Patch in Bozeman, and I have an engagement session to shoot on Saturday.  I will be sharing all of that on my blog very soon!

Matt and Cassandra + their little ladies {Miles City, MT Family Photographer}

Sometimes you walk away from a shoot so completely excited about it that you can't wait to get home to your computer.  This was exactly that type of shoot.  Cassandra and Matt didn't seem stressed or nervous at all.  They were incredibly comfortable from the get go.  Baby Sloane was smiling the second I laid eyes on her, and Memphis was full of energy and excitement.  I think kids do much better in front of the camera when their parents are comfortable, and Memphis and Sloan were little Rockstars in front of the camera.

I love photographing children in part because I can give them some direction, but they really don't need much direction to be adorable.  It is very different than shooting seniors, and weddings because seniors and couples want more direction.  They want to be told how to pose and where to look.  It doesn't work that way with kids, because they are gonna do what they want, and the photos end up conveying their personality in a way that I could never plan for.

Although I think traditional portraits like the one below are important, I also think the spontaneous moments caught on camera are a more realistic portrait of a family.  The spontaneous portraits are the ones that tug on your heart strings just a little because they bring you back to that moment.  They are an accurate portrayal of your children at that moment in time.

 Aren't these two just the cutest sisters ever?  This one is my favorite of the girls.

Sloane's face in the above photo is so stinking cute.  This is my favorite of all four of them.

Memphis was such a little model and look at those eyelashes!

Thanks Cassandra and Matt for letting me spend the afternoon with you and your cutie pies!

Charlie Ray of Sunshine :)

Little Charlie was only 5 days old for this shoot.  Isn't she a cutie pie!  She had a little audience during the photos because nobody in my family can resist a newborn, and Charlie didn't seem to mind one bit.  She started out a little fussy, but after a quick feeding she was a superstar model.  My husband always gets a little nervous whenever I have a newborn shoot because he knows I'll come home baby crazy.  This shoot was no exception!  Charlie gave me full blown baby fever.  Atleast I will be seeing Charlie soon, she has a second shoot with her mommy and daddy in a few weeks.  Congrats to the new parents, what a little blessing she is.
